My assumption has not changed a lot. But it has changed a little bit. I thought Marijuana had very negative effects on human. I never thought it had some positive effects. I have also read some articles about it and how it helps HIV patients. But I still don't think it has any negative effects on college students as I think it affects their reasoning and hence affects their grades. I think most of the students that use the drug have a great chance of performing poorly in school.
My question about this population is; What population of students use Marijuana more is it the males or females? And why do they use it?
I have found out that, some of the students who engage in the use of marijuana are not necessarily bad students. They are just influenced by friends and some start off doing it for fun then later get addicted.
Hi Yvonne,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your update on assumptions about marijuana usage and college students.
It is possible that, when you start searching for scholarly journal articles on our research topics, you will find some published research studies on whether or not college students' reasoning and grades are affected by marijuana usage. Should be interesting!
Your question about whether or not males or females are more likely to use marijuana is also a great question. That may also come out in the journal article research.
I look forward to hearing more about research on your topic!
Sincerely,
Professor Wexelbaum
